Michael (Max) Maxworthy has nine years of investment banking and private equity experience working with and advising Digital Information Economy companies in sectors such as Financial Technology; Market Research; Online Databases and Content; Enterprise Software; Digital Media; and eCommerce.

Max joined M&A from Veronis Suhler Stevenson, where he led the team that provided in-depth research on companies, industries, transactions, and valuations. His research was a cornerstone of the Communications Industry Report, and Communications Industry Forecast (published by VSS) as well as in industry publications such as Investment Dealers’ Digest Magazine, The Daily Deal, Securities Industry News, Corporate Finance Week, and Mergers & Acquisitions Magazine.  Max began his career as a Research Assistant at Morgan Stanley and a Financial Analyst at American International Group.

In 2007, Max was named to Investment Dealer's Digest Magazine's "40 [dealmakers] Under 40."

Max has advised on many successfully concluded mergers, acquisitions, capital raises, strategic partnerships, valuations and public debt offerings. He has worked with clients including: Hugin, Brainpower, europrospectus.com, Smith Bucklin & Associates, GovPX, ABRY Partners, DisplaySearch, Derivative Solutions, Global Securities Information, Interactive Technologies and Capital Access International.  He has helped sell companies to firms such as Bloomberg, Factset Research Systems, Digital River, Euronext, NPD Group, Screaming Media (now part of Dow Jones), FiServ and Reuters (Lipper).

Max is a former Director for the Upward Bound Program at Binghamton University, and is also a member of the Young Executives Board for the National Down Syndrome Society. He holds degrees in Finance and Management Information Systems from the School of Management at Binghamton University. Michael is an avid motorcyclist and skier.
